Two items of clothing have been stolen from Tresor 31’s exhibition in Berlin, Germany.
Reportedly stolen on 5th August, the jackets were part of an exhibition titled, Techno, Berlin und die große Freiheit. The limited edition designs, upcycled from Love Parade banners, are nearly three decades old and part of a set of only 100 ever produced.
Tresor announced news of the missing jackets via social media on 25th August, highlighting that the items “represent an iconic piece of electronic music and fashion history.”
The club’s statement details the histroy of the garments, stating: “In 1994, Berlin designer Elsa Wormeck AKA Elsa4toys collaborated with the iconic Ravewear brand Sabotage to create a series of limited-run, ultra-rare jackets, upcycled from banners used to decorate the 1992 Love Nation party during the Love Parade. The jackets were on loan from her personal collection.
Tresor has asked its community to “please report any information they might have on the stolen jackets via email at 31@tresorberlin.com.”
Techno, Berlin und die große Freiheit included over 20 club nights at Tresor, Globus and OHM, eight concerts at Kraftwerk and an exhibition that delved into the past three decades of the evolution of the music scene.
Celebrating more than three decades of the iconic club, which opened in 1991, the festival is also had a collection of exhibitions and concerts delving into Berlin’s rich history of clubbing, including talks and installations.
