Skream has become synonymous with dance music fans, first becoming an influential figure in the Dubstep arena with hits like ‘Midnight Request Line’ and his remix of La Roux’s ‘In For the Kill’.
Then more recently establishing himself as an electronic music tastemaker supporting grassroots talent through his label Of Unsound Mind, releasing music from the likes of Black Girl / White Girl, James Burton, Josh Gregg, and Richie Blacker. All, meanwhile touring relentlessly, delivering his genre-spanning sets with a refreshingly fearless approach, which has gained his millions of admirers the world over.
Once again, he demonstrates his versatility, as he now launches his new record label ‘IFEEL’ to break down the genre barriers and release anything he wants in his own space.
Skream said when describing the ethos of IFEEL:
“I wanted to create a label solely for my own productions, in any genre, I feel like. I want to bring in musical artists from across all genres I really admire. I am especially proud that INSA is part of IFEEL and that Norman is joining me on the debut release.”
Skream kicks off this debut release in style with a no-nonsense techno offering, with lightning-fast kick-hat combos and leading snares laced throughout.
Then Berghain resident Norman Nodge joins the fray with a double remix offering, the Ying remix brings impactful percussion and resonant claps filled with tension.
The Yang remix then ups the pace another notch to round off a stomping EP.
Chesters Groove EP is out now via IFEEL.
