Over two years in the making, Hull’s Gate No. 5 is now just a week away from finally being reopened. After cancelling two virtually sold-out events for the planned opening in 2020 due to coronavirus, the 400-capacity venue nestled on the banks of the famous Hull River will welcome revellers on Saturday 14th May.
The industrial-inspired venue boasts an indoor room and vast outdoor space. It kicks off its 2022 campaign with an impressive lineup hosted by Gorilla, including 1/3 of the legendary House music trio Apollonia, Shonky, Berlin supremo Robin Ordell and Hull-born established DJ/Producer Caison.
Speaking about the challenges and uncertainty faced during the last couple of years, Gate No. 5 Manager Tom Watkinson says: “For me over the next 12 months is cementing my new brand Gorilla at Gate Nº5. I no longer fear the darkness as I’ve been there and got the T-Shirt. For any aspiring artists, DJs, musicians. The darkness is the journey!”
Located 5 minutes from Hull City Centre and Hull Train station, Gate No. 5’s location makes it accessible to ravers all around the country. Tickets for their reopening party hosted by Gorilla are available on Skiddle.
