The team behind the crowdfunding will name the club BIT; they have revealed plans to build the new club in the Keile district of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
On their crowdfunding page, the BIT team describe themselves as:
“An immersive platform for electronic music and its crowd.”
They confirm that the crowdfunded nightclub project will be an open-minded and eccentric space in the West of Rotterdam. They have already secured a 24-hour permit, and now they are asking for the public’s help through purchasing event tickets for the first eight events, taking place on Fridays and Saturdays from 3rd September. 1381 tickets have been sold so far at the time of writing.

The BIT team have devised a plan for building the immersive BIT platform, as follows:
Phase 1 – To be overseen by Lara Bruggeman, who will design the aesthetic aspect of the BIT project.
Phase 2 – The construction of the club and the remodelling of the dance floor, designed by Stijn van Aardenne and Gido Cuppens.
Phase 3 – The build of Tony’s bespoke sound system, purchase of amplifier, monitors and DJ equipment.
Phase 4 – The light installation and production by Nick Mansveld.
