Pig&Dan’s Dan Duncan has launched a brand new NFT concept – ‘Crypto DJs’. The platform offers unique digital collectable cards from some of the most well respected electronic music artists. The Polygon blockchain will house the project.
Dan Duncan has always been an advocate of non-fungible tokens and was one of the first artists in electronic music to mint an NFT.
Created by a small group of DJs, music lovers and experts from across the music industry, CryptoDJs offers new ways for fans to engage with their favourite artists by opening up access to exclusive communities and content through collectable NFTs.
The platform launches with the ‘Genesis Drop’ sale of digital cards for eight internationally renowned techno artists – Pig&Dan, Christian Smith, Simina Grigoriu, Victor Ruiz, Gregor Tresher, Mark Reeve, Wehbba and Ken Ishii.
Each artist currently has a collection of 30 cards, with each card priced at $66. Each card is unique, and 10% of the cards will feature an exclusive audio track, adding rarity value to the tradeable.
Crypto DJ ‘fans’ can build their collections and earn access rewards to exclusive experiences and content by acquiring pre-designed card combinations. Different combinations will unlock bespoke opportunities. Some of these experiences include backstage passes, meet and greets, AAA concert passes and more.
Following the initial launch, collectors will also be able to trade cards on Opensea – the NFT marketplace.
Speaking about the concept and the Genesis Drop, CryptoDJs co-founder Dan Duncan commented: “What really excites me about being part of CryptoDJs, is the fact it’s built on authenticity. It’s been created to provide opportunities for us as artists to engage with those who support us in new and innovative ways. A gateway to growing a genuine collectors community.”
