Hot off the wax! London record store Phonica has launched a new sub-label aimed at the afterparty vibe.
Phonica has been at the heartbeat of London’s crate-digger scene for over 17 years and has spearheaded the resurgence of vinyl sales. The record store has built a reputation of being able to locate hard to get sounds. Those hard to get hot grooves from Germany and Holland, Phonica will source them.
Luther Vine will curate the spin-off imprint. Phonica AM will focus on after-hours sonics of minimal, house and electro. Tripped out techno and minimal wobblers will be high up on the release agenda, and we are all in for it.
The first vinyl is due for release on September the 3rd and is a four-cut delivery by Voodoos & Taboos named If We Were. The debut EP is full of tech-house, electro and 90’s breaks strains and opens up with an outer-space-like banger!
Phonica AM is the fourth arm of the main Phonica label, alongside Karakul, Phonica White and Phonica Special Editions.
