Several stories are currently being published in the UK regarding the circulation of ‘extremely strong’ Tesla pills.
On July 29th, Bristol’s nightclub Motion put out a social media statement regarding these pills, warning against taking them due to their super-strength and the problems they have caused.
“We are aware of some extra strength pills in Bristol,” they said.
Going on to say:
“Please be careful wherever you go this weekend – please stay safe and look after each other.”
The post included an image of a Tesla themed blue pill with the headline: “warning, powerful pills in circulation”.
They also encouraged clubbers to seek help if they felt unwell and disclose it to a member of staff on a non-judgemental basis.
It said:
“You will not be judged if you or a friend feels unwell. Please speak to a member of the bar staff, medic or security team straight away. They will help and look after you.”
Since the post, the club has received several comments of praise for their actions, and rightly so.
For more advice on drug testing and guidance on taking the substances, check out Loop – a non for profit CIC that asks people to consider taking just a quarter of a pill or a small dab of powder and waiting at least an hour before taking any more.
It states:
“Many pills in circulation contain a large amount of MDMA – sometimes up to 3x an average adult dose. Pills that look the same, even from the same batch, may have different contents. It may take longer to feel the effects. Always start with a small dose and wait for the effects to hit; this can take 90 minutes or more.”
We urge ravers to party but stay safe. Always.
