Luigi Rocca – Soulseek EP [Summer-ized Sessions]

The 303Lovers imprint boss, Luigi Rocca, is right at the heartbeat of the latest crop, forging a successful career around the globe. 

Soulseek EP has just landed on the rapidly-rising Summer-ized Sessions imprint and offers up a two-track, fully-bodied tech-house cut with a distinct techno heartbeat. 

‘Soulseek’ brings a seductive techno stab to its underbelly, which is complemented by an infectious electro in-style snare. The energy is set to maximum as it drives through its patterns with real authority. Packed full of intricate breakdowns and punchy drops, this more-ish in nature track is certainly one for those wonderfully crowded basements and peak time performances. 

Aptly named, ‘The Joker’ completes the EP and lives up to its title with bursts of cheekiness as it plays on the lighter side of techno, adding some unmistakable bounce to proceedings. Wonderful spiralling synth sequences and granular grinds work their magic before each breakdown prior to settling into a distinct rolling groove. This production is packed full of dimensions, ideal to pull the crowd to the dancefloor and send the vibe to another level. 

Rocca masterfully achieves a techno and house balance throughout the EP that speaks to the soul.
