London-based sex and kink-positive party Crossbreed has announced it will close for good.
Announced via Instagram on 24th November, the party’s founder Alex Warren, AKA Kiwi, said: “the team has made the decision that it’s not possible to work with the Crossbreed brand further and as such I have to close the company down.”
“Words will never really be enough. This community is so special and I hope that in time other spaces will grow too.” they added.
They concluded: “I want to thank everyone who has been a part of the last 3 years, everyone who has worked with us and everyone who danced. Words will never really be enough. This community is so special and I hope that in time other spaces will grow too.”
Warren stepped down from Crossbreed earlier this month after multiple allegations surfaced against them online via an anonymous Instagram account. In a statement, Warren said the allegations included “some inaccurate and false stories” as well as “some very serious allegations.”
Following the statement, Crossbreed’s Instagram account has been inactivated. All of its upcoming parties have been cancelled, and all ticket buyers will receive refunds in due course.
Warren founded Crossbreed as a party and label in 2017. The events became an almost instant hit, combining a sex-positive ethos with stellar house and techno lineups.
