Emanuel Satie is renowned for his versatility when it comes to music production, having released on an extensive list of top-shelf record labels, including Cocoon, Crosstown Rebels, Defected, Get Physical Music, Saved and Watergate Records.
Now he can add highly esteemed Renaissance Records to the list as he comes on board to remix Loew’s ‘KnifEdge’, bringing his own melancholic spin to the record. Emanuel counters the broken beat structure from the original with something a little deeper and darker. The result is his trademark twisted techno sound encapsulated beautifully.
Emanuel quoted, “Renaissance has such a rich heritage, a cornerstone of everything that’s right about quality electronic music. I was thrilled to be asked to remix something for them, and when I heard the stunning musical elements of KnifEdge by Loew, I knew it was something I could work with and put my own stamp on”.
The remix is part of Loew’s two-track debut EP, complemented by Emanuel Satie’s remix, an ‘In Spirit Remix’ and ‘Stripped Acid Remix’ from Loew.
Out now on Renaissance Records.
