Few artists are operating in the house/techno milieu whilst offering much beyond functionality in their music. Those who bring more than this to the table always stand out. Hamburg’s Kollektiv Turmstrasse is one of those rare acts catering for both body and soul.

Towards the end of 2022, he launched his YAP event series in Berlin, bringing a vivid new concept to one of the world’s most-celebrated nightlife hubs.

Fast forward to 2023, and Kollektiv Turmstrasse, AKA Nico Plagemann, draws on his years of experience to create a new home on key dancefloors across Europe, free from the boundaries of genres, styles and fads.

YAP stands for “You Are Perfect” and is a concept built around the core foundations of dance music culture – inclusivity, diversity, open-mindedness, community and love. The event continues those essential ideals with impeccable line-ups at carefully selected venues to uphold YAP’s values. It will exist in spaces holding high regard within the electronic music community, including Watergate in Berlin, E1 in London, Het Sieraad in Amsterdam, Tama in Poznan and Uebel & Gefährlich in Hamburg.

YAP’s musical inclination reflects the versatile, multifaceted output of Kollektiv Turmstrasse. From house to breaks to techno, with influences from old-school rave to modern eclectic sounds, the events will encompass a broad sonic palette with warm, friendly vibes central to its ethos.

YAP’s first season welcomes a variety of established figureheads alongside influential newcomers who have been blazing a trail. Among them are Roman Flügel, Danny Daze, Isolée, Dusky, Alinka, Impérieux, Terr, Miura, Kassian, Lauer, Fort Romeau, Khadija, Biesmans and more.
