Flemcy Music boss JP Lantieri is back on the label as they welcome another instalment of their ‘Decades’ series in the form of his ‘Forty Something’ EP. Enlisting creative readaptations from Manu Riga, Ornery and Ursarix on remix duties, the EP spans four impressively unique cuts that ooze the Flemcy Music ethos of deep-cutting, emotionally resonant records.
Opening with the original mix, Lantieri takes listeners on a white-knuckle ride through a steep, majestic forest ravine, with a shrilling arpeggio and earth-shaking bass in pursuit. Manu Riga’s remix comes next, bringing a tranquil journey away from the madness with harmonious and multi-layered synth melodies.
Ornery’s remix leans back into the firmer side of the spectrum with a slow-building cloud of contemplation, unleashing its techno blessing and filling the rivers wide. Ursarix’s remix closes the release with a lively tribute to a better life, with a powerful, acidic bassline leading to a blissful and tuneful climax.
