Jay De Lys & Piem – Intentions [Moon Harbour]

A transatlantic collaboration from Argentinian Jay de Lys & Spanish Piem, bringing Latin flavour to their rolling tech-house anthem on Moon Harbour.

Jay de Lys has become known for his rolling tech-house sound releasing on a who’s who in the tech-house arena with Deeperfect, Kaluki, Repopulate Mars, Toolroom Records, and in particular his hits ‘Savorlatino’ on Saved Records and ‘Bling Bling’ on Elrow, amassing hundreds of thousands of streams across all platforms and numerous Beatport Top 10’s.

Piem is a name known among his peers; he is an accomplished house music producer releasing on the likes of Crosstown Rebels, Knee Deep In Sound, Mother Recordings, Relief and Repopulate Mars with his release on Gorgon City’s Realm Records ‘Your Name’ arguably his biggest to date currently over 700k streams across all platforms.

When you bring two talents like Jay de Lys and Piem together, it is inevitably going to produce special results, and they do not disappoint with this latest offering, bringing their Latin roots to the table in abundance to deliver this superb new single ‘Intentions’ on Matthias Tanzmann’s label Moon Harbour.

‘Intentions’ is brimming with energy courtesy of grainy hi-hats, punchy kicks and some funky congas, bringing an instant groove that you will irresistible to move to. What helps to define this as a stand-out hit is the low-slung bassline bringing gorgeous warmth to the whole vibe of the track, all capped off with infectious soulful vocals.

We asked the guys about how this record came about, and this is what they had to say:

Piem: “We were sharing a few ideas and projects a few months ago to work up a follow-up; it was a long time since our last collab. “Intentions” was one of the most solid we had since the beginning, and we work hard to make it on a label like Moon Harbour.”

Jay de Lys: “Working with Piem always works amazing for me. We can turn a good idea into a great track really fast, and after we finished this one, Moon Harbour seemed like the perfect option to send it out.”

The perfect offering for a return to clubs, the record is bursting with soul certain to move any dancefloor.

Jay De Lys & Piem – Intentions is out now via Moon Harbour.
