The International Music Summit for 2023 has revealed its initial ten speakers for Ibiza’s yearly electronic music event.

The announced names roster includes SHERELLE, Fabio & Grooverider, Elijah, DJ Fat Tony, TOKiMONSTA, LP Giobbi, and Warner Music’s CEO Max Lousada.

The Destino Pacha Resort will be the site of the upcoming event, which takes place on the 26th-28th of April, hosted by DJ Jaguar and Pete Tong, both presenters on BBC Radio 1.

At the 14th edition of the summit, ‘Face The Future’ is the chosen theme, with AI, age discrimination in the industry, music rights management, web 3.0, neurodiversity, and journalism topics included in the discussion.

Ben Turner, co-founder and curator of IMS Ibiza, made a statement about the selection of speakers, noting that the event was “returning to open the Ibiza season with a lineup of content that is both powerful and varied, aiming to address the urgent matters that our industry faces today.”

In 2023, any speculation about the future is gone as AI has arrived, and the changes will be happening rapidly from now on, according to the speaker.

After the industry’s return to operations during the COVID pandemic, numerous novel products, issues and potential solutions have emerged.

Touring artists finally returning to work face a massive generational transition, plus excessive production and travel costs, as they try to address the multi-faceted ecological problems associated with live music.

We should all come together to confront the future.

The 2023 summit will be accompanied by YouTube, which will provide The YouTube Lounge: a place of collaboration where individuals can hold discussions, mingle and avail of refreshments.

Dan Chalmers, the head of Music EMEA YouTube, expressed that YouTube is pleased to be a part of the IMS initiative to assemble some of the most distinguished music innovators.

Electronic music and innovation have always gone hand-in-hand. Places like IMS are essential for uniting the industry to brainstorm how to stay ahead of the game in today’s ever-changing tech environment.
