IMS’ renowned Dalt Vila event returns next week with CamelPhat, ANNA, KÖLSCH, Ida Engberg, Pete Tong and more

IMS Dalt Vila, the annual event of the International Music Summit, is set to be held in the top dance music destination Ibiza. This gathering is renowned for being the beginning of the summer season, featuring a variety of up-and-coming along with established DJs pioneering the global electronic music scene.

Pioneer DJ and YouTube have partnered to host a seven-hour musical event on Friday, 28th April, from 17:00 CET, wrapping up the 14th edition of IMS Ibiza 2023, the pinnacle event of the three-day summit. This noteworthy event will occur at the ancient former fort of Dalt Vila, a 2,500-year-old UNESCO World Heritage Site and a jewel in the Ibiza crown. It provides impressive views of the Catedral de Eivissa and the Mediterranean Sea.

Announced for the IMS Dalt Vila 2023 music festival is the headline performance of CamelPhat, the multi-platinum DJ and production duo consisting of Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala. This GRAMMY and Ivor Novello-nominated Liverpool duo has risen to fame since their hit single ‘Cola’ was released in 2017. The two have developed their sound over the years, releasing multiple chart-topping hits and becoming one of Beatport’s all-time top-selling artists.

The Brazilian-born ANNA will also feature at Dalt Vila. Her sets are always energetic and enthralling as a highly talented and experienced DJ. ANNA’s gigs at the iconic Warung Beach Club, D-Edge and Time Warp Brazil in her homeland are renowned and respected. Recently, she revealed her upcoming ambient project with Mercury KX / Decca / Universal.

KÖLSCH, the Danish Kompact label head, DJ and producer who has been transforming the landscape of techno creation for two decades, will join forces with IMS co-host, BBC Radio 1 DJ, and renowned dance music figurehead Pete Tong (MBE) for a back to back performance.

The lineup of names keeps going, with renowned Drumcode artist Ida Engberg playing back-to-back with the widely respected and well-known Marshall Jefferson. Jefferson is considered an original innovator of Chicago House and a founding father of current house music. He played an instrumental role in developing the Chicago house scene, Acid and Deep House genres. He composed iconic house songs such as ‘Move Your Body’ that impacted many music makers. As for Ida, she has achieved success in the DJ/Producer world due to her dedication and enthusiasm. She is now a globally recognized talent, renowned for her raw, intense techno preference and her sharp ear for deep house.

Layla Benitez and Jellybean Benitez will perform back-to-back in a unique father-daughter collaboration. Jellybean Benitez is an experienced DJ associated with world-renowned artists such as Madonna and Whitney Houston. His daughter, Layla, has taken a page from her father’s book, creating a sound combining deep house, world music, and soulful melodies.

Jaguar, a member of the new generation of UK dance music, will co-host the distinct lineup for IMS Ibiza. She has made a difference through ventures such as UTOPIA and The Jaguar Foundation. Additionally, TAAHLIAH, a rising DJ/Producer from Glasgow, who has made a name for herself in the underground queer club scenes of Berlin and Glasgow, will be there. TAAHLIAH has been contributing to a new age in electronic music. Her Boiler Room set exemplifies this concept of a future for dance music, where mainstream EDM and modern electronic music come together. 

To launch the event, this year’s Pete Tong DJ Academy Future Talent Awards winner will be honoured in recognition of their promising skills as a DJ from anywhere in the world.

IMS Ibiza Summit badge holders who purchased delegate badges before 22nd March 2023 receive access to IMS Dalt Vila. Delegate badge purchases made after this date are subject to an additional €30 fee.
