One of the last remaining purist party gems on the White Isle, Bora Bora, will sadly close its doors for the last time this weekend.
Situated in Playa d’en Bossa, the world-famous beach club has been part of Ibiza’s magical story for 40 years.
Bora Bora was the first club on the island to feature a beachside restaurant and has played host to some of the biggest DJs globally since opening in 1982.
Earlier in the year, Ibizan news outlet Diario de Ibiza broke the news of the club’s impending extinction. Although few details about the reason for its closing are known, it’s thought that redevelopment plans for the area played a large part in the decision to close the iconic venue.
In true Bora Bora fashion, they will host a 40-hour party marathon across 15-16th October as the island bids farewell to one of its most culturally significant club spaces.
What can you expect from the last days of Bora Bora? The venue is renowned for its liberalist approach to partying and goes against the grain of the fast-evolving VIP-focused mentality of most of the island’s other clubs.
The lineup for both days is a complete secret to be revealed each day.
No VIP areas, no tables, and no phones in the air. Just a mix of different cultures and spirits dancing together with their heads down and hands in the air.
If you’re on the island this weekend, there’s only one place to be if you want to capture a special moment in the island’s history.
