Consell de Ibiza has again made clear its plans to oust as many illegal villa parties on the island as possible, with this summer being absolutely no exception.
As reported this week by Diario de Ibiza, in the coming weeks, Consell de Ibiza will award the service of private detectives to shut down unlawful gatherings throughout the season.
Last summer, a similar tactic was employed whereby ‘detectives’ were given the task of infiltrating villas and private parties to inform police of the location – leading to shutting down any discovered events that were not permitted.
This summer, the Consell looks to take a more ‘professional’ approach with a privatised state-awarded contract offered to one of five prospective companies.
It is currently unknown whether one of the five parties has successfully contracted to undertake the task; the contract’s ongoing term – estimated to be a thousand hours of work – is determined by the number of successfully communicated parties. Failure to meet an undisclosed figure can lead to the contract’s termination.
Govern, Consell and the different City Councils that make up the island have all agreed to intensify the fight against all kinds of parties and towns that can hold celebrations.
