We recently reported that good news was in sight for the magical White Isle of Ibiza.
Following a ruling made by the Consell de Govern Balearics on Monday, it looks like the island will reopen its clubs from next weekend onwards. For how long is anyone’s guess, but it does mean we will get a club season this year – albeit a short-lived one.
The governing body has decided to let clubs operate at 75% capacity, providing they follow a set of stringent guidelines. There will be a 05:00 curfew in place, with masks required for indoor standing areas and drinking prohibited on dance floors. The limitation on people per table has also been scrapped.
Ocio de Ibiza’s Leisure Manager, José Luis Benítez, said: “The responsibility we have from now on has been demonstrated,” adding: “We are going to ask our partners and clients for more responsibility so that they do not take any step backwards.”
If there has ever been a time for a last-minute getaway, this is it. IBIZA. IS. CALLING.
