Their talent is further cemented by their ability to breach the Beatport Top 10 consistently, with their biggest hit to date the number one ‘Patience EP’ on Do Not Sleep. All the while amassing 400k+ streams across numerous platforms, demonstrating their rapidly rising profile.
Next up is the boys’ debut on Italian producer Stefano Noferini’s Deeperfect, bringing deep, dreamy summer flavours to the label. The EP has already garnered support from Jamie Jones, Paco Osuna, Ruben Mandolini, Proudly People, Dimmish, Stacey Pullen, Joseph Capriati (Drumcode), Steve Lawler, Claude Von Stroke and Cosmin Horatiu.
When asked about the release, Hart & Neenan said:
“Vultures EP was written in the middle of the pandemic at the height of lockdown. Times were tough, and most weekends were being spent grafting in the studio. Creating the whole EP helped us get through some personal challenges; it gave us an outlet.”
The lead track ‘Vultures’ is a clever concoction of sweeping chords and guitar stabs, heavily processed and altered with deep soulful vocal cuts beautifully scattered throughout to deliver an ethereal experience.
‘Turtles’ maintains the ethereal theme to this release, with the boys using a groovy arpeggio lead sitting atop the mix. All of this combines neatly with a pitched up acapella, resulting in a funky falsetto style vocal effect.
When Hart & Neenan spoke further about the release, they revealed:
“We named this track after a character called Turtle from US comedy-drama Entourage, as during this weekend when we made the track in between, we binged on this show…standard lockdown activities right!? Also, it flowed nicely with the animal theme for track names.”
Hart & Neenan’s’ Turtles EP’ is out now via Deeperfect.
