Groove Armada Feat. Parris Mitchell – House With Me (Paco Osuna/Project00 Remixes) [Snatch! Records]

Since its release in 2016, ‘House With Me’ has always remained one of Groove Armada’s finest members of their back catalogue. Previously receiving the edit treatment from Andrea Oliva in 2017, Osuna is the latest to accept the challenge. 

The highly acclaimed track, which features Parris Mitchell, has received a 2021 revamp from Spanish electronic music master Paco Osuna and his Project00 alias in collaboration with Fer BR. Osuna is one of the highest-profile DJs and producers to come out of Spain, with a consistently high demand for headline duties at global festivals and events. 

Staying respectful to the original, Osuna finds the right balance between old and new, which will strike the right notes with purists. The energy has been taken up a notch for this remake, with a high octane tempo throughout and an added punch to the bassline. The vocals remain a prominent feature with a slight twist to their depth, and the use of FX is a clever addition with hints of filter and reverb at the peak drops, adding emphasis and expectation for what is to come. Dance floor dynamite! 

The Project00 version takes us on a slightly darker journey. Although the vocal sample remains, its frequency is far less and used in ‘chopped blocks’. The arrangement of this variation serves up a multitude of contrasting and peculiar sounds, which makes for a real ‘head wobbler’.
