Fleur Shore is a name bubbling away in the underground and very much set for a big 2021 and beyond. Fleur has already built her name through her captivating and diverse DJ sets, reflected in her music productions.
Her latest offering on exciting new label Frame Music further echoes all the talk around Fleur’s name, an EP that demonstrates her creativity and depth of musicality within underground house music.
When we asked Fleur about what inspired the making of the EP when she was in the studio, she said:
“The whole vibe for the EP is inspired by the old records I collect, whether that’s 1990-1995 house or early 90s hip hop. I love being able to listen to past genres and let it influence what I make now.”
‘Klassik Organ’ sets the pace with its rhythmic organ bassline and swirling vocals combining to bring a high energy groove to this attitude-infused dancefloor beat. Certain to get those dancefloors grooving in unison.
‘Dog Call’ keeps the energy and pace flowing, a fusion of rattling percs and piercing hats complemented perfectly with a punchy kick and pumping bass. A proper funky peak time cut with nostalgia running through its veins.
‘5AM’ rounds out this groove-laden EP in style. The track is laced with acid elements throughout combined with other groovy rolling elements, a strong bassline underpinning the track, and hypnotic samples swirling throughout. As the name suggests, a perfect after-hours wobbler.
The Return EP is out now on Frame Music.
