Face-value European Alliance for Ticketing (FEAT) have published a new guide for FEAT members and promoters in Europe on the best practices to adopt when dealing with suspected touted tickets.
The guide will help locate and remove scalped tickets from the marketplace, [the guide] called ‘FEAT Guide: How to Find and Remove Scalped Tickets’ offers step-by-step guidance on preventing tickets from falling into the wrong hands, how to develop your own ‘anti-tout’ policy, and the most effective ways to cancel tickets in a customer-friendly way, while also making sure to consider legalities when adopting such policies.
The guide is available on a request only basis, and it will be available in French, Spanish and German. Alongside the launch, FEAT hosted a workshop on 19th January at the live music conference ESNS (Eurosonic) titled ‘F@CK Ticket Scalpers’.
Nicole Jacobsen, Managing Director & Co-owner of Tickets.de and contributor to the guide, said:
“I’m proud to have worked with FEAT on the ‘FEAT Guide: How To Find and Remove Scalped Tickets’. At tickets.de, we’ve been working to stop scalping for over ten years, and the guide is just the latest in what is an ongoing and dedicated campaign.”
