Last Friday at his show in Manchester, Fatboy Slim praised Gary Lineker, who had just been taken off BBC’s Match Of The Day, for tweeting in response to the UK government’s latest Illegal Immigration Bill.
Norman Cook, the renowned DJ and producer, posted a video from the crowd of his O2 Victoria Warehouse show with a comment: “A lot of respect #ImWithGary.”
In the video tweeted by Fatboy Slim, Cook is surrounded by visuals of famous figures, among them Prince and Greta Thunberg. He was observed moving away from the turntables to applaud, and the audience mirrored the action. The clip ends with a shot of Gary Lineker.

In reaction to the BBC’s brief dismissal of Lineker from Match of The Day due to his opinions about the UK’s new Illegal Immigration Bill, a move was made.
The proposed legislation is intended to “combat” illegal immigration by denying asylum to anyone who enters the country unlawfully, thereby removing protections for those who are brought in involuntarily.
The ex-England skipper and Match of the Day presenter had recently tweeted: “There is no huge influx. We take far fewer refugees than other major European countries. This is just an immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vulnerable people in language that is not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the 30s, and I’m out of order?”
