Danny Avila drops a new hard-hitting techno release via UMEK’s 1605. Along with his original track, there is also a remix from Amazingblaze, who has close ties to Charlotte de Witte’s KNTXT.
This is Danny Avila’s second time working with 1605 after he recently featured the lead track on the label’s ‘Desiderati 4.10’ VA. Based in Spain, Danny Avila has previously dropped big room tracks via Spinnin’, Armada and Sony but is now showcasing his sound’s more rigid and driving side.
Amazingblaze is a young talent who has burst onto the international scene after heavy support from Charlotte de Witte, who has been playing his music in her DJ sets along with releasing his music via her record label.
‘Notre Dame’ is the EP’s solo original track, and it takes no prisoners with the thundering percussion and flowing hi-hats that create a high-velocity groove. The breakdown is its defining feature, with uplifting synths and a compelling vocal that builds suspense before a devastating drop where the percussion hits in alongside opera-esque vocals.
Amazngblaze lifts the tempo with his ‘Notre Dame’ remix, which adds a lurching bassline and sparkling melody synth layered with the original’s operatic vocals to create a cinematic, hard techno version.
