The helmets of Daft Punk have been an iconic symbol of electronic music royalty for the last three decades. Many fans have no idea what the duo even look like – due to unmasked footage of them being a rarity.
Well, that seems to be changing, as the duo’s YouTube channel recently featured some unmasked footage from their earlier days – whilst on tour in Los Angeles, USA.
The nostalgic clip shows Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo performing live at the Mayan Theater in 1997, unleashing a live rendition of ‘Rollin & Scratchin’ from their timeless ‘Homework’ album onto a packed dancefloor.
The 12-minute clip was streamed on Twitch last year to mark the first anniversary of the duo’s split but has since been uploaded to the official Daft Punk YouTube channel for the world to enjoy – check it out below.
