Circus to host 6000 clubbers in Liverpool this month as part of the Covid-secure trial

Two Circus parties will take place over consecutive nights at Bramley Moore Dock Warehouse, as part of the Government’s trial events.

Liverpool will be the first city to host club nights in the UK for more than a year, with the events taking place at the end of this month on Friday 30th April and Saturday 1st May, at the 5,000 capacity warehouse Bramley Moore Dock.

The events will be hosted by renowned party brand and record label Circus, run by founder and owner Yousef, and will allow 3000 partygoers each day. The large warehouse is ideal for the team of scientists at the event to collect the necessary data.

Yousef spoke to PA news agency

“What I’m looking forward to is just that feeling of being a DJ again because you know that’s what I’ve been doing for 20 years.”

“I think when all the dots connect, the music, the environment, the people, me playing, everyone having a good time, feeling safe… we can forget about covid for even five minutes.”

Like many other pilot test events, attendees will need to produce a negative Covid-19 test before entry with a rapid lateral flow test. Plus a follow-up test post-event, so results can be tracked.

The pilot is only available to people from the Liverpool City Region, one ticket per application, which means everyone must sign up individually.

The club night is part of a series of trial events allowing people to attend the FA Cup Semi-Final and FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, Snooker World Championships at the Sheffield Crucible Theatre, the Carabao Cup Final at Wembley, along with a handful of other events. All planned to go ahead with no social distancing but in carefully controlled environments

Event details and tickets for the Circus events in Liverpool are to be announced soon, if you’re from the Liverpool area you can sign up here.
