Beatport launches new iOS app alongside a major rebrand

The globally renowned music store recently rolled out an unannounced major rebrand alongside their new cutting-edge app.

Beatport has launched a brand new iOS app alongside a complete facelift of their website and new logo. The new app bridges the gap for Beatport LINK users, allowing them to create and edit playlists on the move. It also gives users the ability to access most of the web-stores features – including Beatport charts, DJ charts and DJ sets. Users can also search through the whole catalogue.

Within the app, your library will show anything you have purchased from the store since first opening your account, as well as your playlists for syncing with Beatport LINK on software like VirtualDJ, Rekordbox, Serato and Traktor and hardware like Denon DJ’s PRIME range.

Any playlists you make or alter within the app are instantly mirrored across any Beatport LINK compatible hardware and software so you can prepare your sets from anywhere in the world. Any changes you make also reflect on BeatportDJ – their web-based DJ platform launched earlier this year.

The app is currently only available to iOS users, but Beatport has promised that an Android version of the new app will come “later this year”.

To add to the commotion of their groundbreaking new mobile app Beatport’s entire aesthetic also had a complete overhaul behind closed doors. They shocked the world at the start of last week by rolling out a new logo and striking brand messaging designed by Swedish firm Kurppa Hosk.
