ANOTR and Toman collaborate and drop ‘Due EP’ on NO ART RED, the first vinyl off-shoot of NO ART.
The dynamic Dutch duo ANOTR has been making waves on the electronic music scene both within their homeland and internationally for several years now. The duo has been pushing production boundaries and challenging the normal house music frequencies while evolving their non-conforming NO ART imprint.
Following on from another NO ART seed, NO ART NO NAME, NO ART RED has launched as a vinyl-only focused sister label in partnership with fellow Dutch compatriot Toman. The aim is to fuse electronic music with art via individual and bespoke release artwork. The second release sees the trio deliver ‘Due EP’, which has originality and class running through its veins.
‘DUE’ begins the journey with super-rich chords, shuffling drums and beautiful key solos, offering a sweet and infectious house vibe.
‘Libino’ follows with a fascinating groove that engages the senses with a series of punchy bass stabs and high-calibre kicks that provide the engine room of the track.
The ‘B’Side comes in hard. ‘Be heard’ ups the ante with an energy-rich tempo. The heartbeat of this track is magnified by a wonderfully curated arrangement of percussion with a vibrant vocal tweak.
‘Enderman’ rounds off the 4-tracker with those fashionable glitchy electronics and a flex groove that will pull you one way and then another.
There is something for every moment here. ‘Be Heard’ is a peak time stomper, whilst ‘Libino’ offers the feel of packed summer terraces at a peak vibe.
DJs will be spinnin’ this wax all Summer long. Due EP is out now via No ART RED (Vinyl only).
