Making his way back to Charlotte de Witte’s esteemed KNTXT imprint, new-age Italian techno producer Alignment delivers yet another incredible body of work – making it a hat-trick on the label since its inception in September 2019.
His latest offering comes as an unsurprisingly racy and hammering four-track EP – Power. Speaking about the release, “Alignment’s music has been strongly represented in all my live streams of 2020 and 2021, and I honestly can’t wait to finally bring his music and his latest creations on Power EP to the dancefloor. It’s made to make you move, and I’m very happy to have him on board once again!” says label boss Charlotte de Witte.
Adding his insight on the EP, Alignment says, “The vibes we shared pre-pandemic on our beloved dancefloors inspired me a lot to create Power EP. I tried to focus on effective and highly energetic, peak-time techno weapons for KNTX011. Signature synths, big stabs and kicks following only one formula – no compromise and four to the floor.”
Opening the release, the pacy ‘Power’ tees up for a thrilling journey with pounding drums and pulsating synth stabs that ripple of its shuddering sub-bass and blistering hat grooves.
Next up, ‘Disconnection’ takes you down the rabbit hole on a dark dive into the realm of warehouse techno at its finest. As you battle with its rave and trance inspired melodic elements, you’ll find your feet constantly marching to its driving bed of hard-hitting rhythmic factors.
‘Frequency’ cranks up the heat even higher, with yet more trance inspired melodic presence – married with a captivating hammering of drums and a hypnotic vox. Upward-spiralling and climactic big-room techno, not for the faint of heart.
Rounding off the release, ‘Radioactivity’s metallic and industrial tinge makes for a raw and coarse feeling jam. However, its lighter melodies and softer textures offer a more delicate base for its rougher elements to dazzle!
All in all, an expectedly excellent showing from one of Europe’s fastest-rising new-age techno artists, Alignment’s Power EP, is out now via Charlotte de Witte’s KNTXT.
