Famed for its deep, dirty and beautiful music, Ellum is certainly the right host for this four-track curation. The Borne Aloft trio brings a unique frequency blend to proceedings as their classical music training and electronic production expertise fuse together seamlessly. Their backgrounds cover a large spectrum of sound and result in a multi-faceted style, bringing a unique vibe and fresh perspective to the dancefloor.
Previously, their ‘Primal Urge’ cut on the label offered a musical experience that teased and opened the mind, immersing the listener into a self-realisation state. Cinar EP continues the journey and acts as a wonderful sequel in the series.
‘Cinar’ is a slow-burning techno track built on a solid foundation of rolling drums. An incredible array of synth patterns take the track to the next level, allowing for the clever addition of bright keys and effervescing pads to complete the cosmic experience.
With ‘Air Cut’, Borne Aloft show their elegance with a stylish and melodic techno slant. An emotionally charged and futuristic offering.
The dramatic ‘Talk To Me’ is built on an exquisite synth sequence, coupled with rich, cosmic layering, and pulsating drums.
The EP closes the chapter with ‘Ghost Note’. A bold and powerful track with an almost sonar-like synth arrangement and clever sci-fi FX.
Overall, this is a sublime EP. Cinematic, atmospheric and full of mesmeric sonics.
CInar EP is out now via Ellum Audio.
